Our Mission is to know the love of Jesus
and make His love known.
The Church’s primary mission is to know and love Jesus Christ and then to help others do the same. As Jesus taught, the greatest commandment is to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind,” and to “love your neighbor as yourself.” If we fail to do this we have missed the mark as his disciples.
Our Vision is that our community is transformed by the love of Jesus, living life Abundantly.
What is the life abundant? Dallas Willard writes that, "The aim and substance of spiritual life is not fasting, prayer, hymn singing, frugal living, and so forth. Rather, it is the effective and full enjoyment of active love of God and humankind in all the daily rounds of normal existence where we are placed." This is what we mean by living life abundantly. As we meet Jesus and experience his love for us, we are forever changed. It is relationship not religion that changes us, and now we live according to God’s will and purpose, in good times and bad, but always safe in the knowledge that he is with us and for us.
